He is valued by directors for his authentic sound, creative edge, collaborative spirit, and strong work ethic. Brendan’s scores often feature acoustic instruments as opposed to software generated sounds which adds to their vibrant and authentic quality. His skill and experience as a producer and engineer serve as invaluable resources in the demanding process of creating beautiful and well-crafted scores. He earned a BA in Contemporary Music from Santa Fe University of Art and Design where he studied composition, orchestration, percussion, and sound engineering. Brendan was awarded the Ellis Prize for Composition in 2008 for his Sinfonietta for orchestra. Recent projects include “Feeding Mr. Baldwin” (Best Audience Award, Friars Club Film Fest), and Ari Aster’s Portrait Series featuring Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards), Jim O’Heir (Park & Recreation), and Richard Reihle (Office Space). Brendan also leads a classical crossover chamber group called the Brendan Eder Ensemble.
